The ability to speak alone can take you from ordinary to special.

Make no mistake about it, John F Kennedy,  Bill Clinton, Barack Obama would not have become presidents were it not for that skill.

And, for those who will dedicate a few days to discovering the mechanics of an outstanding delivery can be, do and have the same skill.   This means anyone and everyone!

How You Can Tell The Difference in Training Methods...

If you were to go through various trainings i.e. Dale Carnegie, Communispond etc.  and then the method I was fortunate with which I become intimate, you might do what J Walter Thompson a major ad agency did.

J Walter Thompson owned Communispond today still a formidable competitor.  They were approached for a five year period once per year, and they would laugh at the suggestion of giving us a try.

Then, one day out of the blue, they called and asked us for two pilot workshops.  The result was they divested their interest in Communspond and retrained their presenters.

We assumed that they likely looked at the accounts they lost to a competitor and checked out who trained their people and it invariably was us.

In business statistics rule and so that event set a trend that brought in NBC who trained their anchor people and corporations in 23 countries.

The company was purchased by an Australian businessman who had been the chair person of the committee who successfully bid for the Summer Olympics.  He said that were it not for this special training he and his fellow presenters would not have won their bid.

He recently sold the company to a large corporation for approximately $33 million.  Interesting how powerful an “idea” can be isn’t it.

You see, in both the advertising agency instance and the bid for the Olympics, they were not selling anything tangible.  It was kind of blue sky, meaning it really came down to something unspoken, subtle or subconscious ...presentation skills.

The first time I saw Barack Obama speak at the Democratic Convention, I knew that should he decide to run for the Presidency, that he would win.

The average voter would not recognize or see the mechanics that I as a trainer might see, but I knew their power.
